This is just an outstanding wordless picture book. I have to be honest I use to hate wordless picture books but in the last few years they have grown on me. The illustrations are so good words are needed in this book. The white borders that frame the illustrations help bring your focus into the details of Geisert's drawings. The double page drawings have nothing lost in the spine of the book either. Oh my, the details in these illustrations is just amazing, truly amazing. What mother wouldn't love to bath her children this way?
Jamie at TUFW: I absolutely loved this picture book! There was so much detail as to how the washing contraption was set up and how it worked. I liked how the pictures all flowed into the next picture to make a comprehensive story that was all about bath time! I am sure my mother wished she has this machine.
I have to say that I wasn't a huge fan of this book. The illustrations were very detailed and told the story thoroughly without the need for any words at all. The washing machine was very detailed and creative. I just didn't really get into the story very much.
