Sometimes labels on things in the pictures distract me and I don't find them very artful. I thought the labels in this book worked ok. I think the pictures in this book are beautiful but the presence of the labels makes me hesitant to declare the pictures distinguished. Does anyone else have that problem?
I personally loved the labels, since sometimes it helped point out something I had missed when I first looked at the picture. The best part of this book for me was the end papers. Stunningly beautiful. Also, it has been around for a while, but there is a fantastic interview of Beth Krommes at http://blaine.org/sevenimpossiblethings/?p=2206 that makes for interesting reading.
