I loved this book the first moment I saw it -- the colors, the proportions, the "feeling" it has to it. Definitely one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kris. This is my favorite of 2009 so far. Such beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteThis is definately my favorite of 2009. I love the colors and all the ways you can share this book with a child.
ReplyDeleteDitto! This is a beautiful book. There's something about bold black lines and vibrant colors that really appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteI especially love how the illustrator fills up the entire page several times in the book (one of the first pages with five birds sitting in a tree, the "surprise" page, etc.). I think those contrast nicely with the scenes that have more white space.
This one is definitely at the top of my list so far.
