The cats' faces don't have a lot of detail, yet their expressions are very real - amazing!Mandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07830964081238352803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6482931767185467731.post-41994599078869566852008-10-04T11:09:00.000-07:002008-10-04T11:09:00.000-07:00This is THE most perfect picture book of 2008-- si...This is THE most perfect picture book of 2008-- simple, yet not simplistic; a story very young readers will not only understand, but take to heart; a story told visually, beautifully, gently. This is a story refined to it's most basic truth in the classic tradition of picture books. This is what Eric Rohmann does so well. He truly is a genius.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6482931767185467731.post-46004730961793019562008-09-23T11:47:00.000-07:002008-09-23T11:47:00.000-07:00I agree. I bought two copies of this book when it first came out and gave one to my mother, a fellow cat lover who actually lives where it snows.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6482931767185467731.post-35296661780115579012008-06-11T11:16:00.000-07:002008-06-11T11:16:00.000-07:00I think Eric Rohmannn did a wonderful job with thi...I think Eric Rohmannn did a wonderful job with this book. The cover alone caught my attention right away. The bold linework works really well in depicting the four kittens and framing all the illustrations. And it's such a sweet story, both text and illustrations go very nicely together.Monicahttp://web.mac.com/monicacarnesi/iWeb/MSC/About%20Me.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6482931767185467731.post-40142977847639470062008-04-23T13:19:00.000-07:002008-04-23T13:19:00.000-07:00I like this story a great deal as does my three-ye...I like this story a great deal as does my three-year-old son. The illustrations are lovely. In my experience, the majority of the kittens would have been like the fourth kitten.Teresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01301519801801374508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6482931767185467731.post-76450119458241043222008-03-24T16:27:00.000-07:002008-03-24T16:27:00.000-07:00A Kitten Tale by Eric Rohmann, caldecott winner Er...A Kitten Tale by Eric Rohmann, caldecott winner Eric has done it again, as far as I'm concerned.
